New Year's a New Start

This time of year is a great time of year. We remember the Lord, Jesus Christ, and His Sacrifice for us; the wonderful event of my birth (December 31, 1992), and usher in a brand new year. The order of these remembrances is very important. When we remember Christ, we have a desire to change. Through His Grace, we can be changed. This process is called the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We must remember Him and then ask Him for help to change. This process is observed especially this time of year. There is a famous tradition among the people of the world. It is called "New Year's Resolution." This tradition makes us reflect on our year and think about what we can do better in the next. We do not desire to go back to the old year, but want to continue on with the New Year. One of my favorite scriptures is Luke 17: 32. It reads, "Remember Lot's Wife."

I do not wish to overload you with many words, but my invitation is to reflect on your year. Then find something you can work with in yourself. Then, next year at this same time, ask yourself, "Am I better than I was last year?" You can also do it, month by month, week by week, and even day by day. Don't look back, and "Remember Lot's Wife."
